Our core service is simple: we publish clear, state-specific, step-by-step guides on how to obtain your official police report after an auto accident. Which agency filed it. Which portal to use. What it costs. How long it takes. What information you need to have ready.

Everything on our site is available at no cost, without submitting any information. Browse freely. Use what’s helpful.

Why We Built This

In most states, getting your own accident report is harder than it should be.

Reports don’t sit in a public database waiting for you. They’re funneled through exclusive third-party data companies (BuyCrash, CrashDocs, LexisNexis, and others) that control access, charge fees, and dictate the process. Different agencies use different portals. The rules change from state to state, sometimes from county to county.

If you’ve just been in an accident — dealing with insurance calls, medical appointments, and the stress of getting your life back on track — the last thing you need is a scavenger hunt to find the document that belongs to you.

So we did the legwork. We mapped out the process for each state we serve, named the actual portals, listed the fees, and explained the timelines. Our goal is that anyone who lands on this site should be able to figure out exactly what to do in a few minutes.

What We Offer (Optional)

If you’d rather not handle the paperwork yourself, we offer an optional service: we can connect you with a professional in your area who can retrieve the report on your behalf and review your situation. Their services are provided at no cost to you.

This is a choice you make, not a requirement. Plenty of people use our site purely for the self-service information and never contact us — that’s fine. The optional help is there for people who want it.

What We Are NOT

Because there’s a lot of confusion in this space, we want to be direct:

• We are not a government agency, police department, or DMV. We don’t issue reports.
• We are not a law firm, lawyer referral service, or legal services provider.
• Using this site does not create an attorney-client relationship.
